The Youth Services Unit (YSU) is keeping students engaged this summer with its “Get Set. Get S.M.A.R.T.[AC1] ” Summer Camp open to youth aged 12-16 years. This immersive summer experience takes place from July 15 – 19 in Cayman Brac, and July 22 – 26 in Grand Cayman, and will stir with summer excitement full of activities, interactive tours, games and goal-setting opportunities.
The camp guides youth on how to set achievable goals and create a plan to achieve them. “Get Set. Get S.M.A.R.T.” will run daily from 8:30AM – 2:00PM.
Major themes include: Physical Health, Professional Development, Mental Health, and Financial Literacy, to support youth with developing a clearer vision of what they want in life. In addition to immersive goal-setting sessions led by subject area professionals, participants will have the chance to explore during community field trips and by connecting with other youth.
Head of Youth Services Unit, Mrs. Mellony Bryan-Waugh notes: “After a brief hiatus, the Unit is pleased to be bringing back our summer offerings. These are affordable and enriching. While there are space limits, we want to encourage as many youth as possible to connect with us this summer, and to use this opportunity to better themselves and to be inspired to set goals and plans for their future. This is a fun and interactive way to get started.”
Spaces for the “Get Set. Get S.M.A.R.T.” Summer Camp are limited. Camp is priced at $100 per week and includes field trip costs, daily snacks, and lunch.
