I always strive for the best in my academic pursuits. This started at West End Primary
School, when I was first recognised as a top student. In high school I continued this
momentum by achieving gold awards for academic excellence throughout the years. I
also served as a prefect, peer counsellor and a student council member. I was honoured
to be selected for the position of Head Girl in my final two years of high school. I
graduated with honours and multiple high-level passes.

I have been recognised for a variety of accolades. In 2012, I was awarded Child of the
Month. In 2019, I received the Layman Scott High School (LSHS) Citizenship Award for
demonstrating exemplary qualities as a student. I placed second in the Claudette Upton
Speak Off. In 2021, I was chosen to represent Cayman Brac in the Commonwealth
Parliamentary Association’s Youth Parliament. I participated in five (5) CPA Youth
Parliaments, culminating in being chosen to represent the Cayman Islands at the
regional Youth Parliament in Guyana in 2024.
I plan to continue my academic pursuits and become a Doctor. I have worked as an
intern at HSA’s Faith Hospital, gaining valuable life experience in the medical field. I will
be travelling to the UK soon to start my journey towards becoming a Doctor, specialising
in gynecology. In the future, I plan on returning to Cayman Brac to pursue my practice. I
am also a part-time instructor for the LSHS Steelpan Band, passing on the lessons I
learned during my six years as a member of the band.
I have a passion for public speaking and politics. I was also a competitive swimmer from
primary school until 2020. As a Proud of Them Honouree I wish to show that even though
I come from a small community; this has not stopped me from accessing opportunities,
striving for more and following my dreams.
