knew from a very young age that I wanted to pursue acting as a career. I started by taking Drama in high school and then proceeded to take Drama A-Levels at Cayman Prep and High School (CPHS). Throughout these years I was guided by my teachers and learned the basics about acting and theater-making. As I contemplated my future, I wanted to study acting at a collegiate level to hone my craft. I decided to pursue a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree at The New School in New York City in 2021. I majored in Dramatic Arts with a concentration in Acting.

Throughout my four years at The New School, I worked on a play each year. My first year I did ‘Summertime’, my second year I did ‘Fefu & Her Friends’, my third I did ‘Passage’ and my fourth I did ‘Phantasmagoria’. For my senior thesis, I wrote a play with nine others and presented it to the public for four consecutive shows. This was what we called ‘Phantasmagoria’. I was also cast in a commercial for ‘Bumble & Bumble’ in New York, in addition to many commercials in the Cayman Islands, for companies such as Cayman National Bank, Camana Bay and Hotel Indigo. I also taught Drama to students this past summer at the Harquail Theatre where we ended the week with a showcase. Notably, I featured in a Hollywood film shot in Cayman, named ‘Littlemouth’ by director Jonathon Sobol, which is currently in post-production. I also took part in our end of year acting showcase performing a scene from ‘Potus’ to many industry professionals such as agents, managers and more.

I am currently in my last semester at The New School, taking specialised acting courses such as the Uta Hagen Technique, Classical Technique and Michael Chekov Technique. I am also taking Advanced Directing where I have delved into directing scenes and full plays. I’m taking Playwrighting circle in order to write a play that I am currently working on with guidance from my professor. This play is culturally rich with Aunt Julia’s music, the untouchable Caymanian dialect and the many trades available to Caymanians in the 60’s such as thatch making, sailorizing, turtling and of course a touch of embellishment in order to tell a compelling story. I hope to debut this play first in the Cayman Islands. I’m also preparing to work in the States for a semester as a teaching assistant at an arts school before returning to the Cayman Islands.

I love to read interesting books and grow my vocabulary. I enjoy fishing and being out on the water even though I am not the best swimmer.  I wish to give back to the community by continuing to teach kids Drama during the summer, by curating workshops to teach the community specialised techniques, and by using social media as a tool to inform the younger generation about all things acting.
