As far as I can remember, I have always been involved in serving the community in one way or another, as service is intertwined with my Christian faith. However, my participation in service clubs began in high school. My attitude and persistence for academic excellence was instilled in me from a tender age. In addition to regular classroom activities, I took an interest in academic competitions including Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee, Essay Contests, and various expositions. The desire to serve and strive for excellence have remained important principles in my life.
I have achieved 13 passes at the CSEC/GCSE level and 3 passes at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Level. At my recent graduation, I received the High Honors diploma, the subject awards for English, Religious Studies, and Caribbean Studies as well as the Supercup Award. Additionally, I was recognised for my achievement of the expert level in the Microsoft Office Specialist exams. Other accomplishments and recognitions include: 1st place in the Optimist Essay, Entrepreneurial Pitch Contest, 2nd Place in the Optimist Oratorical Competition, Outstanding Leo and President of the Year Awards, and the Junior Optimist Award 2024.
I’m currently involved in my church and in other extracurricular activities such as the George Town Cyber Leo Club, of which I am the President and I will continue to serve in any area of the community that I can. I am availing myself of opportunities to continue ministering to my peers. I was privileged to be able to address the North Side Scouts at their investiture ceremony and I have been invited to speak to youth in other forms. In regards to academics, I am finishing my Associates Degree at UCCI and after I will pursue Theology at the university level.
I have a passion for music and community service, and I will continue to serve my community. I am deeply grateful to be a Proud of Them Honouree and I hope that this achievement will inspire people to strive for excellence and to serve their communities.Â
