Saturday August 12th saw a celebration of International Youth Day (IYD 2023) commemorated in Cayman Brac with a special Family Fun Day coordinated by the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture & Heritage (MYSCH).
A line-up of youth and community performances; along with bouncing castles and free sno-cones/cotton-candy made the day a special treat for children! DJ music, singing, poetry and other special performances added to the fun and showcased talent. Board games and free boat rides for families to enjoy also took place.
In attendance were CAIRCOM Youth Ambassadors (CYAs) Ms. Vanessa Burke & Mr. Chad Powell Jr., who engaged in the day's activities and had a chance to connect with the community by supporting the event in their official capacity.
The Cayman Islands Folk Singers shared classic Caymanian folk songs for youth and the entire community to experience. MYSCH Chief Officer Ms. Teresa Echenique pictured far left (front row).
